Honestly speaking, the time of year that we have all been
either waiting for or dreading is finally here yet again. For many of us this time of year is filled
with stress and/or anxiety as it pertains to weight loss over the holidays, but
if you have a plan, you can make it through to a new year. Here are some tips to help you overcome the
holiday season and maintain not
GAIN.
1. Before you arrive at your dinner, pick the
dish that you are waiting to eat the most, help yourself to that dish and pair
it with healthy veggies and skip the rest of the carb filled selections.
2. DO NOT over
indulge, just because you see it, doesn’t mean you have to eat it.
3. Do not wear baggy or loose fitting clothes to
your holiday dinner – doing so will give you a cavalier attitude towards eating
till you are uncomfortable.
4. Chew gum while cleaning up.
5. When hosting the holiday party, don’t keep
leftovers, send your guest home with all of the tempting foods.
6. Eat a healthy snack or light meal before you
go to a holiday party.
7. If you are going to have a cocktail – White
Wine Spritzer – Sip it SLOWLY!
8. Increase your exercise efforts – NO EXCUSES!
9. Make sure you are taking a multi vitamin to
help keep your energy up just enough to fit everything in.
