But, in order for that to happen, you have to take the appropriate steps to reach those goals that I know you talked about or even dreamed about in December. For thmost of us, we started off with a New Year resolution and it is halfway through January, how are you doing? Are you still on track? and Are you taking the necessary steps for advancement?

Before you attempt to start any resolution, keep in mind these simple steps:

  1. It must be something that you are doing for yourself. Doing something for someone else or because people tell you that it is best for you, doesn’t always work because somehow, someway, you will eventually sabotage yourself.
  2. When committing to a New Year resolution, keep it simple and concise. Keeping the list short and relatable is KEY because you are more likely to focus your efforts on something that you truly want.
  3. “BE SPECIFIC” For Example: If you are committing to hit the gym at 5:30 a.m., then make sure you do all the necessary steps the night before to make this task achievable, such as, going to bed at 9 p.m., packing the gym bag the night before and leave it by the door, finally, set your alarm for 4:30 a.m.
  4. Make sure you tell friends and family what you want to achieve and ask them to hold you accountable.
  5. Create a plan that consists of small steps that ultimately will result in you achieving the big goal.
  6. Be prepared to change some habits by arranging your surroundings in a way that you aren’t feeling temptation constantly.
  7. Create a Vision/Goal board that you can visualize daily.
  8. Finally, if for any reason, you are suddenly derailed … GET BACK ON TRACK!

I hope these tips keep you chugging along and remember “It’s not about how long it takes..KEEP MOVING!

With your health and success in mind,
