Before the weather gets unbearable outside, take your walking/jogging routine outside. If you seem to have hit a plateau on your treadmill – hit the pavement. Walking on the pavement causes your body to pull your weight forward through the use of your glutes and hamstrings. Since the motion on the treadmill is simulated with a moving belt, in order to achieve the same results you have to walk on an incline.
